Pacific Rim merupakan sebuah film yang dirilis tanggal 12 Juli 2013 dan berceritakan tentang perang antara umat manusia dan para monster. Di dalam film ini, setting yang diambil adalah bumi di masa depan. Bumi mendapat sebuah ancaman dari monster-monster raksasa yang disebut dengan "kaiju" yang artinya dalam bahasa Jepang adalah monster raksasa. Kaiju muncul dengan waktu yang singkat dan akan terus muncul dengan waktu yang lebih singkat dari sebelumnya. Kaiju muncul pertama kali di kota San Fransisco dan berhasil menghancurkan kota tersebut. Namun untuk mengalahkan kaiju, umat manusia tidak bertarung dengan tangan kosong. Mereka menciptakan beberapa robot raksasa yang disebut dengan "Jaeger" yang artinya dalam bahasa Jerman adalah pemburu.

Namun Robot Jaeger harus dikendalikan oleh dua atau tiga orang manusia yang disebut dengan pilot. Para jaeger pun berhasil dibuat satu per satu dan dapat mengalahkan para kaiju. Sayangya, kaiju yang dikalahkan oleh para jaeger terus berevolusi seiring dengan berkembangnya waktu sehingga para kaiju dapat mengalahkan jaeger.

Ada beberapa teknologi yang dapat ditemui dalam film ini. Yang pertama adalah teknologi yang diciptakan untuk meyatukan pikiran dua atau tiga orang manusia untuk mengendalikan jaeger. Kondisi pikiran para pilot sangat bergantung di dalam pertarungan melawan kaiju. Jika kondisi para pilot sedang terganggu ataupun tidak dapat bersatu dengan pilot lainnya, kemungkinan besar juga para jaeger sulit dikendalikan. Tidak hanya penyatuan pemikiran, kerjasama antara pilot juga sangat dibutuhkan untuk mengendalikan jaeger. Teknologi yang kedua yaitu, para jaeger memakai tenaga listrik namun ada salah satu jaeger yang memakai tenaga nuklir. Di salah satu adegan saat jaeger melawan kaiju, ada kaiju yang dapat memadamkan listrik kota sehingga para jaeger pun tidak dapat dikendalikan karena tidak mempunyai tenaga. Namun ada salah satu jaeger yang memakai tenaga nuklir yang dapat diandalkan pada saat kondisi seperti itu.

Ragnarok!

    Ragnarok is one game that makes me interested. Ragnarok Online is a MMORPG (Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game) of South Korea were designed based on the story and the same background of the famous Korean comic book titled "Ragnarok" written by Lee Myoung-Jin. This comic was later developed into an online game that focuses on community features among the players. This game is made by Gravity Corporation.
    World in Ragnarok called Rune Midgard, no storyline so that players are free to do what they want even though there are a few quests or missions are made. Systems without this story that makes the player very freely. Nevertheless, such as MMORPG games in general being pursued by players is the increased level (or better known as leveling) up to the maximum level.
    In Ragnarok, players will begin his adventures with the profession as a novice. When it reaches a specified level, the player can change the profession becomes more powerful than ever. For example, from novice transformed into swordman, then swordman turned into a knight, and the knight can become lord knight. However, to turn into a stronger profession requires great levels and some quests are quite difficult. Every profession has their respective expertise commonly called skill. To learn skills that strengthen the character, the player must continue to raise the level and have the skill points that can be used to learn the skill.
    Level Ragnarok players are divided into two, namely the Job level and Base level. Job level is the level that affect the ability of a character, while Base level is the level that affect the status or ability in character. There are 6 status that can be upgraded in the Base level, namely strength, agility, intelligence, vitality, dexterity, and lucky. Each such status has a different effect for each profession. For example, a strength which mempegaruhi attacks are usually the main character to swordman, intelligence affecting magic attacks for mage characters.
    Rune Migrad very wide world so that we can continue the adventure without being bored. There are many cities and dungueon (where hunting monsters) in Rune Migrad. Every town and dungeon has its distinctive characteristics of each, such as downtown Prontera town and dungeon Aldebaran Clock Tower which there are many powerful monsters.
    One of the features that attracted me is that we can adventure with friends in Ragnarok and hunt monsters together so that they can more easily defeat the monster, this feature called party. Usually if we get into the party, we can get more exp so that levels could rise faster.
    I play Ragnarok since elementary school, but I just could not play online when junior high school. Usually I play Ragnarok after school at home. Although currently there Ragnarok Online II, I still like Ragnarok Online I as historic.
